Reported result
The repaired STL was printed in PLA and partly painted. Slicer verification succeeded, but scale choices and fine features still produced visible physical limitations.
Human involvement
The author reviewed geometry, supplied successive corrections, checked the slicer and physically printed and painted the result.

How the agent did it

  1. The author reduced the diorama scope and gave Codex successive visible geometry corrections.
  2. Codex revised the Blender model and repaired non-manifold edges without filling the intended openings.
  3. The author checked the STL in the slicer, printed it in PLA and assessed scale and fine detail.

tukimi-sato used Codex with Blender MCP to make a destroyed-city diorama that could actually be printed. An earlier image-driven scene had been too complicated for the intended process, so the author narrowed the design to a small base, rubble and part of a ruined building.

The author asked for visible corrections one or two at a time, including the wall shape, openings and rubble arrangement. Interior floors and walls were omitted to reduce troublesome overhangs. Codex generated and revised the model through Blender rather than only describing how it should look.

Exporting the STL revealed non-manifold geometry. Slicer repair filled windows, while Blender's repair tools changed the shape. The author therefore asked Codex to fix the mesh while preserving the intended geometry, then checked the export again in the actual slicer. The agent's claim that the problematic edges were gone was followed by that independent check.

The corrected scene was printed in PLA on an ELEGOO Centauri Carbon using tree supports and partly painted. Some lights were oversized because consistent dimensions had not been supplied, and thin details suffered in printing. The useful outcome is a real printed artifact and a specific mesh-repair loop, with physical detail and scale still judged by the maker.

Frequently asked questions

Why did ordinary mesh repair fail?

It filled windows or altered the intended geometry.

What verified the agent's mesh fix?

The author reopened the exported STL in the actual slicer before printing.

What limitations remained?

Some lights were oversized and thin details were lost in the physical print.
