Muse to compare car insurance coverage gaps
Joe Devoy uploaded an existing auto-insurance policy to Muse and asked for a lower rate with identical coverage. His post says the agent found an annual saving of $3,500, bought a new policy and cancelled the old one. The original screenshot makes the comparison more qualified than that headline result.

How the agent did it
- Supply the existing policy and request a coverage-matched comparison.
- Inspect deductible, liability-limit and quote-stage differences.
- Choose an option and require confirmation of final binding terms.

Muse compared the current $5,183 yearly Liberty Mutual premium with Progressive, Geico and Travelers quotes. Progressive's roughly $1,488 paid-in-full estimate was cheapest, but it used $1,000 deductibles instead of $1,500 and omitted supplemental spousal liability from the online quote. Geico matched those existing deductibles and included spousal liability, but the online property-damage limit was lower and increasing it required a phone call.
Travelers was described as the closest coverage match overall, with a different personal-injury-protection deductible and extra items. All quotes were preliminary: insurance-report checks could change the rates before binding. The screenshot does not establish that identical coverage was achieved.
Devoy chose to proceed with Progressive. Muse then said it would bring the complete final terms for confirmation before anything was paid or bound. That is a visible decision boundary; final policy documents and cancellation receipts are not shown. The copyable task is a coverage-difference table followed by a separate confirmation of binding terms, rather than choosing solely by the largest quoted saving.
